Toyota Hilux Technology: Auto on/ off Headlights

When you’re driving home late from work, effective headlights are essential. The HiLux has powerful low-beam headlamps that provide excellent light penetration and forward visibility.

In SR5 models, you don’t even need to adjust the lights manually. They can be set to ‘Auto’, and light sensors will automatically detect dim, dull light conditions and switch the headlights on. Then when the light conditions improve, the auto headlight system switches the lights off.

Because your eyes can become accustomed to changing light, they won’t necessarily notice changing conditions. HiLux’s ‘Auto-on, Auto-off’ headlight function helps ensure not only that the driver can see other vehicles but be seen by them as well.
