2013 Toyota Sequoia
Three trim levels are available for the 2012 Toyota Sequoia; the SR5, the Limited, and the Platinum. All trims have the option of two-wheel or four-wheel drive, and feature vehicle stability control, anti-lock braking system with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution and traction control as well as advanced dual front air bag system, side airbags for all three rows and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger.
Standard powertrain for the SR5 is a 4.6-liter, V-8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that produces a maximum 310 horsepower and 327 lb.-ft. of torque. Eight-passenger seating is standard, as is adjustable steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, three-zone air conditioning, keyless entry, cruise control, standard towing package, 18-inch alloy wheels, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, moonroof, roof rack, leather trimmed steering wheel with audio and climate controls, as well as AM/FM/CD/MP3 sound system with auxiliary audio jack/USB port, eight speakers, and Sirius Satellite Radio capability with free 90-day trial subscription.
The Limited adds front and rear parking warning system, 20-inch alloy wheels, power folding and reclining third-row seats, second- and third-row retractable sun shades, 10-way adjustable power driver’s seat, leather shift knob, Bluetooth functionality, back-up camera and display monitor, and a JBL AM/FM six-disc CD changer system with 14 speakers. The Limited comes standard with a 5.7-liter, V-8 engine teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission that delivers a peak 381 horsepower and 401-lb.-ft. of torque, and has the capability of towing up to 7,400 pounds.
The top-of-the-line Platinum trim level features the same 5.7-liter, V-8 engine as the Limited, and adds adaptive variable suspension, which provides the driver with a choice of three driving experiences: Comfort, Normal, and sport.
New for the 2012 2013 model year is the addition of trailer sway control, which minimizes unwanted trailer movement using the vehicle stability control and anti-lock brake system, and blind spot monitor (standard on the Platinum trim), which alerts vehicles if there’s another vehicle in their blind spot.
